Sarasota, FL – The Roskamp Institute has been awarded a $9,000 Capacity Building grant to support strategic planning and next-stage development of its Healthy Aging Clinic. The funding for this project is provided in part by the Verna L. Grauel Fund of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. The grant will be used for the refinement of an actionable business plan that strengthens the Clinic’s sustainable operational model and clarifies the strategies needed to support long-term success.

This planning effort will help position the Institute to expand access to evidence-based brain health and wellness services for older adults in Sarasota as the Clinic continues moving toward its anticipated opening in 2026.

“This generous support from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County—building on their previous investment in our Healthy Aging Clinic—is an important step forward as we finalize a strong foundation for long-term growth and community impact,” said Dr. Fiona Crawford, Co- Founder and CEO of The Roskamp Institute. “With this strategic planning, we can further strengthen our service model, deepen partnerships, and ensure we can meet the evolving needs of the Sarasota community through evidence-based programming and care that supports healthy aging and cognitive wellness.”

Sarasota County continues to experience significant growth in its older adult population, increasing demand for preventive brain health services, education, and supportive care. The Roskamp Institute is developing its Healthy Aging Clinic to help individuals and families navigate aging through a combination of educational support, wellness programming, and evidence- based approaches to brain health and healthy aging.
