Biography
I am a neuroscientist at the Roskamp Institute with expertise in experimental neuropathology and molecular disease mechanisms. My research focuses on understanding how traumatic brain injury can trigger long-term neurodegenerative conditions, including chronic traumatic encephalopathy and Alzheimer’s disease–related dementias. I use a combination of laboratory models and human brain tissue to investigate how inflammatory and vascular responses after injury drive neurodegeneration and neurological dysfunction. By integrating neuropathology, advanced imaging, and multi-omics approaches, my goal is to identify new therapeutic strategies that reduce chronic inflammation, support brain repair, and slow or prevent progressive neurodegeneration.
